Diane Foreman
Founder, Chairman and Co-CEO

CWP’s success begins with the quality of its leadership. Founder Diane Foreman set the standard for excellence that is now carried through by company president, Michelle Foreman Barnet.

Foreman’s philosophy is simple. Acquire and develop properties of high quality and architectural merit backed by responsive, professional management to acquire good tenants, command market rents, and increase or maintain property value despite the ups and downs of the real estate market.

Foreman received a Dual Bachelor of Arts Degree, Psychology and Education, and attended the Harvard Business School, Executive Program. She has been married for 45 years to Richard Foreman, co-CEO of Columbia West Properties, and is the mother of two children, Michelle and Steven.

She worked as a licensed elementary education teacher in the Seattle School District from 1962 to 1965 before quitting to raise her family, served as senior vice president of Budget Rent a Car of Washington and Oregon from 1984 to 1988, and started CWP in 1988.

Diane Foreman is a member of Harris Bank Washington Regional Board of Directors, YouthCare Board of Trustees and Finance Committee Chair, and Kidquest Board of Trustees. She is a past member of the United Way of King County Board of Trustees, Bellevue City Citizens Planning Committee, and Eastside Planned Parenthood Board of Trustees. She has been involved for many years with several PONCHO committees to raise money for Seattle arts.
