Family owned and managed since it was formed in 1988, Columbia West Properties Inc. has a three-person leadership team. Parents Diane and Richard Foreman own the business and serve as co-chairmen, daughter Michelle Foreman Barnet manages the business and serves as president and chief operating officer.

Michelle looks for investment opportunities, analyzes the risk and earnings potential of a possible purchase, negotiates contracts, and makes deals. She also manages the firm’s holdings, which includes property improvements and tenant services.

CWP has strong financial solidness that allows the family to seize opportunities for property purchase and development. Michelle knows the risk factors that the Foremans want analyzed and presented to them. She brings them into the discussion at important junctions, and the three leaders make critical decisions about property acquisition and development.
