Building Occupant Emergencies Procedures
The Columbia West Emergency Manual was designed to keep our tenants safe and prepare them for an emergency. It is consistent with, and part of, an overall emergency preparedness plan in effect in all our buildings. We suggest reading it now and printing a copy (download the manual in .pdf format here) so you are familiar with procedures and able to quickly access a copy even during a power outage. You may also obtain a printed version of the Emergency Manual by contacting building management.
The most important point: Make sure everyone knows what to do and where to go in case of an emergency. Preparedness drills may seem like a waste of time, but in a real emergency, they could pay off by saving lives.
